Wander the rockeries and pavilions of one of old Suzhou's most celebrated classical Chinese gardens, experience the magic of silk-making at theSuzhou Silk Factory and stroll along the romantic willow-lined Ming and Qing Dynasty canals, over stone bridges and besides the whitewashed walls of ancient water town Zhouzhuang.

7:30-8:30 a.m. Shanghai hotel pick up

10:00 a.m. Arrive in Suzhou

10:30 a.m. Lingering Garden

Explore the Lingering Garden, one of the finest classical gardens in Suzhou. Recognized along with several other Suzhou gardens as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, wander through the trails and portals of the delicately-planned garden that carefully combines traditional Chinese architecture with natural beauty. (1 hour 20 minutes)

At the Suzhou Silk Factory you’ll have the opportunity to see how silk is made and pick up souvenirs at the gift shop. (40 minutes)

12:30 p.m. Lunch

1:30 p.m. Zhouzhuang

An old water town set among a sprawl of waterways, Zhouzhuang Water Town is said by some to resemble the Chinese character 井, which means "orderly". Old stone bridges, the oldest dating back to the 4th century, cross over willow-lined waterways while traditional boats plow the waters of the canals that back to the Ming-and-Qing-Dynasty heydey of the town. (1.5 hours)
